Please accpet our apologies for the delay and inconvenience you experienced Friday during    the homebound rush hour. Trains were extensively delayed due to a fire in the vicinity of    Portal Drawbridge, which began shortly before 3:30 p.m. The fire damaged signals in the bridge area, forcing the suspension of train service at one point for a period of 1 hour 30 minutes and resulting in congestion and extensive delays for the next several hours.
