Capture the idea
A good idea is like a rabbit. They run by too fast that sometimes you see only their ears or tail. To capture them, you can be ready. Creative people is always alert.
In a letter to a friend in 1821, Ludwig van Beethoven described how beautiful a piece of the music came to him while sleep in a carriage. "But when I awoke, the music flew away," he wrote, "and I can not remember any part of them." Luckily, the music came back to him another day, and he captured it in write.
When a good idea comes his way, write it down quickly. No every idea will be usefully, of course, but the point is to catch it first and thinking about it later. |
