Lesson 1. Guide for Learning English

Hi, everyone! Welcome to high school. This is your first English class. Like it or not, we all have to learn English because it is today's international language. Some students might think that English is boring or too difficult, but I want to ask you to try to have fun in this class. That is my tip to you, Have fun! Don't think of English as another school subject. Think of learning English as a way to meet the people of the world. Everyone has his own way of studying English. I want to tell you some ways that I use to learn English.

First, I try to read as many books or magazines as possible.

Second, I try to keep a journal in English.

Third, I have "key pals" from three different countries.

Fourth, I try to watch English videos. Do you do any of these things? Of course there are lots of ways to study English. Now let's read about what some foreign teachers think about studying English.
