On wonderful Sunday morning, Mr. Lemer thought he would take a walk. Just as he was leaving his house, he met the old Korean woman lived next to his house. He said, "Annyeonghasipnikka?" and was trying to think of other words, when the woman asked ; "Eodi gaseyo?" Mr. Lerner was ________. He started thinking what the Korean for "Mind your own business" was.

Then a man living in the neighborhood happened to pass by. When the old woman asked ①him ②the same question, he answered quickly and easily.

"Jeogi jom gapnida."

After hearing ③this, Mr. Lerner knew that he didn't have to be exact in answering the woman's question.

From then on, he followed ④the man's example when he greeted the woman.

When Koreans ask "Eodi gaseyo?", this simply shows that they care about you. Korean use ⑤it in the same way that English-speaking people always ask "How are you?" when they see someone they know.
